Frequently Asked Questions
- What is Resonote?
- Resonote turns YouTube videos into a persistent, browsable knowledge base of structured notes. Paste a URL, and the app extracts the transcript and generates structured key ideas using AI.
- Is Resonote free?
- Yes. Resonote is currently free to use. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will be clearly communicated before any charges are incurred.
- What kinds of videos work best?
- Any YouTube video with an available transcript — tech talks, podcasts, lectures, interviews, and tutorials. Very short clips or videos without captions may not produce useful notes.
- How accurate are the AI-generated notes?
- Notes are generated by an AI model and may contain errors. Use them as a starting point, not a sole source of information. You can review and edit notes before saving.
- Where is my data stored?
- Your notes and account data are stored in Supabase. The app is hosted on Vercel. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of third-party services.
- Can I export or delete my data?
- Yes. Use "Export data" in the account menu to download a JSON file of all your notes. Use "Delete account" to permanently remove your account and all associated data.
- Why does the app need my email?
- Your email is used to authenticate you and keep your notes synced across devices. It is not used for marketing.
